In 1975, 27-year-old Mark Baiada invested his life savings in a belief: that everyone deserves a safe home life with comfort, independence, and dignity. Since then, that belief has led us to diligently, strategically, and compassionately deliver our care services to more than one million people of all ages across six countries, and growing every year.
He opened our first office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Today, we’ve grown into a nonprofit organization that provides nursing, rehabilitative, therapeutic, hospice, and assistive care services to children, adults, and seniors in the comfort of their own homes—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

BAYADA provides specialized services to best meet the unique needs of similar client populations, and to support the expertise of our clinicians who want to be at the top of their license for their specific field. Our comprehensive service offering across the continuum of care includes: Home Health, Adult Nursing, Assistive Care, Assistive Care State Programs, Pediatrics, Hospice, Behavioral Health, Habilitation, Staffing, and Physician Services.

We offer flexible schedules and whenever possible, we strive to accommodate your preferences and give our aides, nurses, therapists, and other clinicians the ability to choose when and where they want to work.
Simply stated, we look for someone who has the competence and experience to handle the role. We also look at personalities and interests, the family fit, and the entire range of reasons why people work well together. Before our clinicians and clients ever meet, BAYADA goes the extra mile to make sure we’re not just matching need to specialty or skill. BAYADA takes pride in getting to know our clients and their families and matching them with caregivers who have compatible personalities and interests. That’s a big part of the BAYADA difference—setting you up for success by enabling you to truly connect with clients and family members and develop trusting, fulfilling relationships. Considering work/life balance, we also strive to match our caregivers with clients who are close to home.
It depends on the home health care specialty you choose. For example, if you provide one-hour home health visits to help a client recover from surgery or to manage a chronic condition, you’ll see your client on a regular basis over a short term, until they meet their goals. If you provide skilled nursing for our clients who are chronically ill or children or adults with disabilities—or personal care for a senior—it could be indefinitely. Some of our professionals have worked with the same client for more than 30 years, and they love each other like family. Many say it doesn’t even feel like work.
