IMMEDIATE NEED FOR RNs FOR SCHOOL NURSING

BAYADA has exciting opportunities to work with local school districts to help ensure the safety of their students and staff during the school year.

If you are looking to work day shifts during the week, then this could be a great opportunity for you!

As a school-based nurse, your responsibilities may include the following:

  • Must be able to administer g-tube feeds, perform g-tube care, suction, neb treatments, med administration.
  • Touchless temperature checks, COVID-19 symptom screening, and triage of symptomatic students and staff.
  • Isolation area monitoring for symptomatic students and staff to stay until they can leave the building.
  • Substitute nursing during staffing shortages.
  • One-to-one care for children with special needs in the school classroom.
  • Transportation to and from school.

There are also opportunities available to work one-on-one in the home setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Client assessments
  • Administration of prescribed medication, treatment and therapy
  • Communication with other members of the client’s multi-disciplinary team
  • Supply management
  • Emergency management

Qualifications:

  • Current nursing license in good standing
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Pediatric experience
