Employee Resource Councils

The BAYADA community gains strength from its diversity of races, ethnicities, abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, and other qualities that make each individual unique. Our advisory councils of employees help guide companywide policy decisions and allow our people to share perspectives that help us understand each other, form strong bonds, and discover new ways to be supportive allies.

Pride LGBTQIA+

Mission: To educate and support the LGBTQIA+ community and allies by providing a safe space for open and authentic dialogue to create actionable change, a culture of acceptance, and support for all of us to be our authentic selves.

R.E.D - Racial & Ethnic Diversity

Mission: To create opportunities and be a resource to increase diversity in leadership and raise awareness about and advocate for racial and ethnic diversity through focused education, mentorship, and development programs.

W.I.L.L. Women in Limitless Leadership

Mission: To empower and instill confidence in women to be change agents by providing support, opportunities, and open dialogue, leaning into the challenges that women face.

MILCOM Military Community Network

Mission: To create opportunities and break down barriers faced by veterans, military service members, and their families by providing support and resources through veteran-focused engagement, recruitment, education, and advocacy.

S.A.F.E. Solutions and Accessibility for Equality

Mission: To provide the support and safe space to break down barriers and promote awareness through inclusion for those with disabilities. There is no them, only us.

F.A.I.T.H. Fostering Acceptance, Inspiring Trust and Harmony

Mission: To create an inclusive and harmonious workplace where diverse beliefs, cultures, and faiths are not only acknowledged but celebrated.

BAYADA Employee Spotlight

Kiara Herth's journey toward embracing her authentic self has been anything but easy. Despite the challenges, her courage to come out as transgender in 2020 marked a significant step forward. While faced with rejection from many family members, she found solace and support among her community and coworkers. In fact, her initial coming out was on a BAYADA webcast. Despite Kiara’s initial uncertainties, her colleagues rallied around her, embracing her name and pronoun changes with understanding and compassion. “I can’t tell you how much joy and power there is in being seen,” she says. These experiences empowered Kiara to join BAYADA's Employee Resource Councils (ERC) where she supports others facing similar challenges.  

Kiara now serves as co-chair of the Pride ERC, which reflects her commitment to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive authentically. Through her advocacy, she aims to raise awareness and promote understanding, recognizing that embracing diversity makes us collectively stronger. As she points out, “Awareness can help drive change for everyone, not just a majority or minority.” As she navigates her transition, Kiara emphasizes the importance of empathy and recognizing the value in experiencing different perspectives. “We can all have biases or prejudices in ways that we don’t recognize,” she says. But “we all, every single one of us, deserve to live our truest lives.”
