BAYADA Home Health Care is in search of a Director of Senior Living (DSL). The DSL will develop and implement The BAYADA Way of providing Senior Living Services to ensure that all activity in an are is aligned with The BAYADA Way. He/she will collaborate with internal BAYADA Home Health Care partners to deepen BAYADA’s breadth and depth relationships with Senior Living Communities throughout VA to achieve our collective mission and vision.
BAYADA’s Senior Living Solutions is a partnership-focused service line that brings a full continuum of care directly into senior living communities, with the goal of helping residents stay safe, healthy, and able to age in place. It offers communities access to multiple services through ONE Team, including fitness and wellness, therapy, nursing care, personal care/companionship, palliative care, hospice, and staffing support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence and reliability.
- Four (4) year college degree.
- A minimum of three (3) years health care operations experience required, ideally interacting with regional leadership and local leadership of Senior Living Community organizations.
- Experience in leading, training and driving relationship development through building trusted relationships and implementing programs within Senior Living communities.
- Demonstrated exceptional strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Demonstrated record of outstanding organizational and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated record of successfully developed strategic marketing and operational plans and implementation with positive growth and quality indicator results.
- Track record of demonstrated growth in breadth and depth of relationships and quota attainment working with Senior Living communities.
- Understanding of BAYADA’s service lines.
- Must exhibit strong leadership ability, strategic insight, operational and team building capability and must exercise good judgment and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated record of positive professional team playing attitude, adaptability to shift priorities and multi task.
- Creative and “hands-on”.
- Capable of using reports and analyzing operational and quality metrics and field communication to formulate strategic plans and customer specific solutions.
- Knowledge and compliance of homecare state and federal regulatory agencies, reimbursement and payor mix.
- Intermediate PC skills required to perform job functions including PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively and professionally.
- Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
- Ability to travel throughout BAYADA's VA footprint
- Clinical degree (PT, OT, SLP, RN) preferred, not required
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
- Interview, hire, train, develop and evaluate program managers in partnership with directors.
- Advise and mentor program manager and operational teams by providing leadership, setting team expectations and reviewing performance with the director on operational objectives for key accounts.
- Conduct regular onsite visits with program managers and select clinical leads and business development activities and contacting efforts with Area Sales Directors (ASD) and Service Office Directors to promote skills necessary for communicating and delivering the Senior Living product.
- Monitor and evaluate program manager.
- Measure growth results in provider of choice communities (#of admissions and average daily census of targeted SL Communities).
- Identify and reevaluate targeted SL Communities and refine the operational plan to win market share within those communities for each market supported.
- Develop clinical leads and teams within provider of choice communities
- Develop and lead Senior Living training programs
- Mentor as a Senior Living specialist to area offices on effective techniques of identifying opportunities and mechanisms to develop Senior Living Community relationships.
- Lead the development and implementation of new Senior Living relationships via systems and program development and implementation, and team development.
- Identify programs or niche opportunities as indicated by referral sources or market needs.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify needs among key accounts and develop strong relationships with new and existing Senior Living accounts while focusing on quantitative as well as qualitative results.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop new relationships with Senior Living Communities via an effective messaging
- and positioning strategy differentiates BAYADA Senior Living Services from competition.
- Maintain and promote BAYADA presence in the community as the provider and employer of choice.
- Assist in market research including competitive research and demographic analysis.
- Assist the office with annual and quarterly market analysis, goal setting, and tactic implementation.
- Develop operational goals, strategy and plan in conjunction with the director, and review regularly. Consistently analyze and measure results and effectiveness.
- Analyze and implement strategies to develop and deepen provider of choice relationships, leading to increased census and market share in defined Senior Living markets.
- Utilize Tableau Reports to analyze growth and quality indicators and to develop plans to create positive trends.
- Maintain a system to track Key Metrics in territories.
- Provide Senior Living operational reports to division directors and directors.
- Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
- Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.
