BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking Sign Language Direct Support Professionals to join the team in Bywood / Upper Darby, PA at the 19082 zip code. BAYADA’s Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. We are part-time and provide flexibility with scheduling through various shift locations and times throughout Philadelphia, PA.
Looking for a DSP to work with a female client at 19082; must be proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)!
Schedule:
- Thursdays 10am-3pm
- Potential for additional hours with other clients around Philadelphia (mornings, afternoons, and nights)
How You’ll Make an Impact as a Sign Language Direct Support Professional:
- Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments
- Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
- Participate in community integration activities
Compensation & Schedule:
- Competitive pay rates starting at $18+ / hour with a weekly pay schedule
- Flexible scheduling (part-time, various shifts)
- Short commute times (we try to match opportunities within 30 minutes near your home)

Qualifications for Our Sign Language Direct Support Professional:
- One or more years of experience working with intellectual and development disabilities (If you do not have this experience, training MAY be available through our apprentice program)
- High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
- Ability to transport clients to community activities
- Fluent in ASL (American Sign Language)
