POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Associate is responsible for reimbursement services duties including but not limited to verification of billing accuracy, perform meaningful collection activity, participate in payer projects, preparation of reports, analysis of data and metrics, presentation of findings, and the provision of administrative and project support. In addition to working autonomously, this position is differentiated from the Associate role through a demonstration of one or more of the following: subject matter expertise, ownership and accountability for complex assignments, and the ability to work in a supervisory capacity leading, coaching, and training others. It is a mid-level professional track position and will offer training and continuing education to support a career in management and leadership within BAYADA Home Health Care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence and reliability.
- Four (4) year college degree.
- Two (2) years’ successful experience in a Collection III or Billing III Reimbursement Services role.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a Home Healthcare Billing and Collections environment.
- Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise of Reimbursement Services processes and business.
- Possesses effective project management skills including the ability to facilitate and organize.
- Demonstrates well-developed presentation skills.
- Proficient in basic business software applications required to perform job functions.
- Demonstrates excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Solid record of goal achievement and exceeds performance standards.
- Able to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to arrange information and files in a useful manner.
- Understands the company’s organizational structure, financial status, and operational goals/objectives.
- Embraces the organization’s entrepreneurial spirit through the recognition and capitalization of opportunities and a healthy challenge of the status quo.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
- Develop working knowledge of BAYADA’s mission, services, people, organization, policies and procedures.
- Typically, majority of role is completing billing and/or collection activities. The percentage of time dedicated to other responsibilities will be allocated by manager or director.
- Manage at least one team member or multidisciplinary project/process.
- Analyze and identify the resources required to complete the office’s routine work plan or special projects.
- Provide day-to-day operational management support of the office’s routine work plan or special projects.
- Proactively identify, define, and solve the most complex problems that impact the management and direction of the business and reimbursement services.
- Interpret internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices.
- Solve complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify solutions.
- Formulate strategies to ensure successful completion of the office’s routine work plan, special projects, and revise the information to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Research complex information through the compilation of statistics, analysis of data and summarization of information for review.
- Demonstrate an increased level of technical, mathematical, or scientific skill.
- Responsible for performance, productivity, and training of specific processes or areas in a department.
- Manage and coordinate Payer projects.
- Work independently, with guidance from management in only the most complex situations.
- Assist in leading regional team meetings or presentations.
- Act in an Account Manager role as support to the customer base. (service offices)
- Serve as an expert within own function.
- Act as a committee member within department.
- Participate in special projects: prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- Create and manage policies, practices and procedures related to BAYADA Reimbursement Services offices.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all client, service office and payer inquiries.
- Draft and distribute professional correspondence and announcements (including the publication of newsworthy information in the BAYADA Bulletin).
- Conduct behavior in a professional manner.
- Progressively assume additional responsibilities as needed.
- Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
- Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.

- Base Salary: $48,000 - $65,000 / year depending on qualifications
