BAYADA is seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Support Assistants (DSPs), caregivers, personal care aides, nurse aides, and individuals with caregiving experience, including those who have cared for a family member.
In this rewarding role, you will provide one-on-one companionship and community-based support to individuals with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. You'll help individuals build independence, develop life skills, participate in community activities, and achieve their personal goals.
Many team members begin part-time and have opportunities to increase their hours as additional client assignments become available.
Relevant experience may include supporting individuals with disabilities, behavioral health, special education, dementia or Alzheimer's care.
How You’ll Make an Impact:

Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities.

Participate in community integration activities, errands, and appointments.

Patiently teach, encourage, and celebrate small achievements, giving people the space to grow.

Opportunity to enhance caregiving skills with support from our clinical managers.

Qualifications:
-
One year experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or Developmental disabilities
-
Ability to transport clients to community activities
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Be at least 18 years of age
- The ability to read and write in English
