BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Ocean County Senior Living team. This position provides one-on-one therapy visits to adult and geriatric clients living in senior living communities throughout Ocean County, NJ.
As a BAYADA Physical Therapy Assistant, you'll work closely with an experienced Physical Therapist to help clients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence. You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with your clients while helping them remain safe and independent in the place they call home.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Partner with an experienced and supportive Physical Therapist to provide individualized care.
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments and interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Implement individualized plans of care, including therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, mobility, and other interventions.
- Help clients improve or maintain strength, mobility, safety, and functional independence.
- Monitor client progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate clients, family members, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, safety strategies, and rehabilitative care.
- Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary care team to support positive client outcomes.
- Accurately document treatments, observations, and client progress using BAYADA's electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Qualifications:
- Current New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), OR meet applicable experience and proficiency requirements.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Home health or senior living experience preferred, but not required.
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to senior living communities throughout Ocean County.

Additional Information:
Base Pay, depending upon qualifications, status, and subject to negotiation:
$48.00 - $51.00 per point
