The Advance to LPN or RN Scholarship Program provides a supportive pathway and financial assistance for BAYADA caregivers to elevate their healthcare careers through obtaining their first nursing credential as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse. Work, earn, and learn with our fully supported path to becoming a BAYADA nurse.
After graduating, you’ll be accepted into the nation’s only accredited home care Nurse Residency Program.
About the Program
The program provides support while BAYADA employees are in the nursing school of their choice.

Application Window Opens June 23rd
Application windows for the program are open periodically throughout the year. The upcoming application window will be open from June 23rd to November 13th, 2025.

How to Apply
When an application window is open, and you meet the eligibility criteria, follow these next steps:
- Complete the interest form
- Complete a screening phone call
- Attend an information session
- Complete the application form online
- Receive enrollment decision within 4-6 weeks
Eligibility Details
Interested caregivers must meet the following criteria before they may apply:
- Have been employed by BAYADA for at least 90 days
- Meet the employment requirements of your BAYADA office
- Enrolled in an LPN or RN program verified by BAYADA
- Obtaining first nursing credential (not already a nurse)
- Willing to work at BAYADA as a nurse for one-to-two years post-graduation

- Yes, you must be employed as a BAYADA caregiver (e.g. home health aides, technicians, direct care workers, certified nursing and personal care assistants, etc.) for at least 90 days. You may apply to a caregiver position near you here.
- Scholarship award amounts vary by the state in which the BAYADA caregiver is working and the funding available at the time they apply. To learn about the scholarship amount being offered in your state, please email [email protected].
- Now more than ever, BAYADA can help you achieve your educational and career goals by combining our Presidential Scholarship with the Advance to LPN Scholarship Program. All caregivers may apply for The Presidential Scholarship, which provides up to an additional $2,000/year in tuition assistance.
- The Advance to LPN Program is available in all states where there is a BAYADA Nurse Residency Program (NRP). The program is not yet offered in Colorado, Hawaii, or South Carolina.
- The Advance to LPN Program is not available in our joint ventures offices or other entities managed by BAYADA Home Health Care.
- The Advance to LPN Program enables caregivers to seek their first nursing license through a scholarship, one-on-one coaching, and immediate career advancement upon licensure. The Nurse Residency Program is the next step in a caregiver’s journey, helping them make a smooth school-to-practice transition with the highest-quality, most comprehensive training and mentorship available in the rapid-growth field of home health care.
- Together, the career pathway of combining the Advance to LPN Program with the Nurse Residency Program will give you the skills and confidence to provide excellent one-on-one care to adults or children at home.
