The Advance Through Nursing Program provides a supportive pathway for BAYADA caregivers to earn their first nursing credential—Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse—while continuing to work. Our enhanced education support model combines scholarship assistance during school with post-licensure loan repayment, giving you the tools to learn, earn, and build a lasting career as a BAYADA nurse.
After graduating, you’ll transition into one of the few nationally accredited home care Nurse Residency Programs in the country, designed to help you thrive as a confident, skilled professional.

About the Program
The Advance Through Nursing Program is designed to support BAYADA caregivers while they pursue nursing school and work toward their first nursing license.
- Education Support: Benefit from our financial support model, which may include scholarship assistance during school and post-licensure loan repayment, based on program eligibility and available funding.
- Personalized Guidance: Receive one-on-one coaching to keep you motivated and on track every step of the way.
- Flexible Scheduling: Continue earning while you learn with adaptable work schedules that fit your school commitments.
- Career Advancement: Upon licensure, fast-track your career with immediate entry into BAYADA’s Nurse Residency Programs, upon licensure.

How to Apply
When an application window is open, and you meet the eligibility criteria, follow these next steps:
- Complete the interest form
- Complete a screening phone call
- Attend an information session
- Complete the application form online
- Receive enrollment decision within 4-6 weeks
Eligibility Details
Interested caregivers must meet the following criteria before applying:
Employment Requirements
- Be a BAYADA caregiver for at least 90 days with a work history of at least 20+ hours per month
- Receive a positive recommendation from your manager
Education Requirements
- Be accepted or applying into a nationally accredited nursing school verified by BAYADA
- Obtaining your first nursing credential (not already a nurse)
- Commitment During School
- Continue working with BAYADA at least 20+ hours per month
- Attend monthly coaching sessions to stay on track
- Be eligible for any federal or private education loans
Commitment After Graduation
- Work 30+ hours per week in BAYADA’s Skilled Nursing Unit for two years post licensure

Yes, you must be employed as a BAYADA caregiver (e.g. home health aides, technicians, direct care workers, certified nursing and personal care assistants, etc.) for at least 90 days. You may apply to a caregiver position near you here.
To receive financial support through the Advance Through Nursing Program, caregivers must be eligible for federal or private education loans.
Tuition‑assistance amounts vary by state and depend on available funding at the time of application.

The Advance Through Nursing Program is available in all states where a BAYADA Nurse Residency Program (NRP) is offered. Currently, the program is not available in Nevada (NV), Colorado (CO), Hawaii (HI), Vermont (VT), Virginia (VA), or in Joint Venture (JV) BAYADA offices.
In South Carolina (SC), program availability is limited to our educational partnerships with ECPI University (Columbia campus) and York Technical College (Rock Hill area).
The Advance Through Nursing Program helps BAYADA caregivers earn their first nursing license by providing:
- Financial assistance for eligible education expenses
- One-on-one coaching throughout the duration of the program
- A clear pathway to immediate career advancement upon licensure

Graduates of The Advance Through Nursing Program will first be offered a Nurse Resident position as an LPN or RN in BAYADA’s Skilled Nursing Unit. This is where you’ll begin your career with comprehensive training and mentorship through our nationally accredited Nurse Residency Program.
From there, as a BAYADA nurse, you can grow into exciting clinical and leadership roles, such as:

- Clinical Educator
- Preceptor
- Office Director
