You won't be on your own after graduation. Upon licensure, you’ll transition into our nationally accredited Nurse Residency Program. This is more than a job. It’s a dedicated period of clinical mentorship, structured training, and professional support designed to help you thrive as a new nurse. We’re with you every step of the way—from your first nursing class to your first solo shift.

Your Path to the Advance Through Nursing Program
Step 1: Join the BAYADA Team
If you’re already a BAYADA caregiver with 90 days of service and 20+ hours per month, you’re ready to apply! Not with us yet? [Find a caregiver position near you]—You're just one step away from applying.
Step 2: Commit to Your Future
We’re looking for candidates who are enrolled in (or applying to) a nationally accredited nursing program. You must be pursuing your first nursing credential.
Step 3: Partner With Us
We invest in you, and we ask for your commitment in return. This includes:
- Continuing to work at least 20 hours per month while in school
- Attending monthly coaching sessions to stay on track
- Working 30+ hours per week in our Skilled Nursing Unit for two years post-licensure
Step 4: Get Recommended
Your growth is important to your manager. A positive recommendation from your current supervisor is a key part of the process.

Yes, you must be employed as a BAYADA caregiver (e.g. home health aides, technicians, direct care workers, certified nursing and personal care assistants, etc.) for at least 90 days. You may apply to a caregiver position near you here.
To receive financial support through the Advance Through Nursing Program, caregivers must be eligible for federal or private education loans.
Tuition‑assistance amounts vary by state and depend on available funding at the time of application.

The Advance Through Nursing Program is available in all states where a BAYADA Nurse Residency Program (NRP) is offered. Currently, the program is not available in Nevada (NV), Colorado (CO), Hawaii (HI), Vermont (VT), Virginia (VA), or in Joint Venture (JV) BAYADA offices.
In South Carolina (SC), program availability is limited to our educational partnerships with ECPI University (Columbia campus) and York Technical College (Rock Hill area).
The Advance Through Nursing Program helps BAYADA caregivers earn their first nursing license by providing:
- Financial assistance for eligible education expenses
- One-on-one coaching throughout the duration of the program
- A clear pathway to immediate career advancement upon licensure
The Nurse Residency Program is the next step in your journey. It ensures a smooth transition from school to practice through:
- Comprehensive training and mentorship
- The highest-quality support in the rapidly growing field of home health care
Together, these programs create a powerful career pathway—giving you the skills, confidence, and financial support to provide excellent one-on-one care to adults or children at home.

Graduates of The Advance Through Nursing Program will first be offered a Nurse Resident position as an LPN or RN in BAYADA’s Skilled Nursing Unit. This is where you’ll begin your career with comprehensive training and mentorship through our nationally accredited Nurse Residency Program.
From there, as a BAYADA nurse, you can grow into exciting clinical and leadership roles, such as:
- Clinical Manager
- Clinical Educator
- Preceptor
- Office Director
